I’m excited to introduce you to my new pattern Confetti! I finished this up when winter was having it’s last hurrah, and then we got a week of warm weather! It was so great, and the colors remind me of Easter. This quilt is simple to make put together.
The finished quilt measures 36″x 36″ – perfect size for a baby quilt. I quilted it on my own machine with straight lines to follow the modern look.
And my son held his first quilt for me while I tried to take pictures. Granted, none of the pictures of the quilt turned out, because his cute little arms couldn’t open wide enough. I think I took more picture of him trying to hold it then I did of the actual quilt that day (which makes perfect sense). Seriously though, he melts my heart. Look at him! Not my baby anymore even though he’s the youngest. We have to try to get him to stop sucking his thumb soon, and I’m so sad about it. It’s the last baby-ish thing that I’ve been holding onto, and it’s going to be hard on him. Oh well. I guess the only thing worse then him growing up would be eternally being in this crazy time of life where I’m overwhelmed most of the time. So I’ll just have to live with it. Ok, enough about that. But really – just look at that face. Sigh. He’s a cutie. Ok. Really. Onto the giveaway.
For this giveaway, I have another beautiful stack of 4″ squares as well as some 2.5″ strips for a binding. There is enough squares to make your own Confetti quilt top if you add 1 1/2 yards of neutral fabric from your stash. Perfect spring project!
