This year, I wanted to make a jumbo picnic quilt…one that all 5 of my family could sit on at the same time. It was the perfect project to get me through a week when my kids all took turns having the flu and we were stuck inside for 8 days straight. I was inspired by Erica’s picnic quilt. (Post here). She used flannel for the batting, and a canvas backing. It makes a sturdy, perfect quilt to throw on the ground. I also hand tied it with the same crochet perle that Erica suggested.
